The American dream is often the false idea of a better quality of life and better stable opportunities to establish a concrete future over time.
For many people from poor countries in Latin America, the simple fact of moving to another country or emigrating to the United States may not be an easy task but it is not impossible either, so traveling to the United States is the last option they have to be able to survive and consider fighting for a better future.
The false idea of a perfect life and the famous American dream has become a debate in recent years for people especially in search of new job opportunities and a better quality of life have migrated to the United States to find better jobs and better opportunities in any field of work, but the truth is that not all Latin American immigrants run or can get to live the same experiences and situations as others, this gives way to the term that says: that not all run with the same luck.
For many people the simple fact of venturing to the United States of America means a great challenge starting because they face a totally different experience from what they lived in their native countries, this means that migrating to the United States of America forces especially people who want to continue working and maintaining a stable status and their survival in the country must speak and handle in a fluent way English as the primary spoken language in the country.
Not all other people consider traveling to the United States a good option because they may not always have the same opportunities as other people, which means that many people are lucky to travel to the United States in search of better jobs and better opportunities to build a better future based on honest and sincere work.
Managing English in a foreign country where this is the primary language is categorized as an impossible challenge for many but quite simple for others, this is related to advantages with people who are fluent in English and disadvantages with other Spanish speakers who are not fluent in English as a universal standard language.
When we arrive in a foreign country in search of new job opportunities, we understand that the first thing we have to do is to adapt to the new cultures and ways of speaking within this country.
Abroad, we don't always get to live that pursued "golden dream" or "American dream". Within Latin America, most people hope to leave their countries and change their economic and social circumstances.
When we travel to another country we have the opportunity to know the different forms of communication within this country, as we learn to earn a living in an honest and sincere way, we can finally return to our native countries and really value what we have and own or what we have earned and obtained with effort and dedication.
The concept of honesty and sincerity defines the different jobs that a Latino or Spanish-speaking person can get in the United States, that is related to people who work honestly and people who do not work honestly; people who work honestly usually make a living generally:
- Cleaning houses
- Taking orders at McDonalds
- Making deliveries
- Taking care of children as a nanny or babysitter for a family
We also know that most frequented jobs by Latinos in the United States are:
- Waiters
- Cashiers
- Street vendors
Mostly, honest people in the United States are dedicated especially to work hard for money in a clean way, but other people have undoubtedly been responsible for crossing out the name of Latinos going to this country, stealing and murdering innocent people; this is mainly the reason because there is much discrimination in the United States.
However, there are worse people who manage to get out of their countries and work hard for what they want. Working in any area in a foreign country can teach a person the value of humility and to truly recognize what he or she possesses with hard work and dedication.
Looking for employment at another country is not a simple task for a huge amount of people who seek to have a better future and a better quality of life abroad, most of the immigrants going to the United States are trying to survive in the economic crisis from which they all escaped from.
However, there are many people who migrate to the United States of America to work and still manage: basically or advanced English. They can manage an appropiate level for each context, area or work situation in which they find themselves.
It is also important to note that, the false American dream has become a great topic of debate for many people who consider that traveling to the United States is something painted with clouds and rainbows but what actually is the reality is totally different from the fantasy. This golden dream is considered a myth.
There may not be a golden dream or an American dream; the outside taken into account from different perspectives and points of view can be categorized as a new challenge and a new life starting from 0, giving to understand that if you do not work hard for what you want you will never get results in what you long for or dream.
