The Angel Falls is one of the highest waterfalls in the world with a height of 979 meters and 807 meters of uninterrupted flow in the Auyantepuy.
El Salto del Ángel is located in the Canaima National Park in the Bolívar State, Venezuela. It is a protected natural area established as a national park since June 12, 1962 and declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1994 that extends over an area of more than 30,000 square kilometers.

It also has a territorial extension similar to Belgium.
Its borders are Brazil and the territory of Esequibo, which is currently being reclaimed.
In its known exploration, Angel Falls was recognized by the indigenous people of the region.
The discovery of the waterfall, however, is attributed to the Spanish explorers Felix Cardona Puig and Juan Maria Mundó Freixas, who were the first Europeans to see Angel Falls in 1927.

In the part of tourism, El Salto de El Ángel is one of the biggest tourist attractions in Venezuela but even at present a trip to this Falls of the Paradise is not a simple trip since the area is quite isolated by the weights jungle and the "Tepuyes" makes dangerous the air navigation. Even though it's not simple to take a trip there, it is possible to arrive at the region by a a flight in light aircraft from Caracas or Bolivar City to arrive at a camp in Canaima.

Other tourists prefer to reach the Falls of Paradise by other more natural ways by crossing the jungle by the waterways until you can reach the base of the Fall.
El Salto del Angel was recognized in popular and general culture as an inspiration of the fictitious jungle in the 2009 Disney Pixar American animated film "Up".

The film "Up" won two Oscars and it is called "Salto Paraiso" or "Paradise Falls" in reference to the Angel Falls in Venezuela.
The jump of the Salto de El Ángel is the highest waterfall of the planet and is one of the most beautiful places that can exist.


This waterfall is even 19 times higher than Niagara Falls.
Angel Falls is located exactly in the Canaima National Park in the state of Bolivar in Venezuela, it is a protected area that has an area of more than 300,000 km that extends to the southeast of Venezuela in the Guiana shield.
